Description
It will soothe and heal any irritated linings, internally or externally. It can be applied in a poultice, douched, used in an enema, added to lotions and creams or simply drunk as a tea.
I find rolling the powder with a little water and making a round little ball is the easiest way to digest slippery elm. A small amount can be placed in the palm of the hand and water added to make a paste that can be rolled in the hands and then swallowed.
It is a great solution for heartburn and irritated gut linings.
I add it to many of my superherb blends, especially the Bowel Tone and Bowel Purge
It has a reflex action so it will act on the lungs and the genitourinary systems.
It is commonly used for coughs, sore throats, diarrhoea, and constipation, yeast infections such as candida, Irritable Bowel conditions, colitis, Crohn’s disease, acid reflux and ulcers. It has proven beneficial in cases of asthma as well.
Use it as part of your cleansing and detoxing regime as it absorbs toxins from the body and allows them to be eliminated. Great for a colon cleanse or even for a good night’s sleep.
